My collaborative work for the 2020 edition of the Triennial with Japanese architect Kengo Kuma is drawing to a close. The work will be on display at NGV International until the 30th of January.

We have been so fortunate to have been able to realize this project in the middle of a global pandemic when so many other projects from the sector never got off the ground. It has been a great honor to work with such an extraordinary team of dedicated and passionate professionals across the globe, in locations as diverse as Beirut, Tokyo, Melbourne & Ballarat ! The Botanical Pavilion was a labor of love that took over 8 years to realize, in that time there have been many people involved. I would especially like to thank Kengo Kuma, Anteo Sanada @yasminezahlan and the team at @kkaa_official who were so generous and patient in supporting the collaborative process. Howard McCorkell from the @mccorkellbrowngroup who has been supporting the project from the beginning has been instrumental in the construction and project management of the pavilion. Mike, Tom & Troy at Viridi in sunny Ballarat who provided expert CNC fabrication and support were invaluable, as was @ewanmceoin for his dogged support and steady hand throughout the process, and was a champion of the project from the beginning.
